Left unresolved, too much moisture effects the structural integrity of buildings and create expensive problems like mold and mildew which can cause serious health issues. The key to a healthy and safe building, so far as moisture is concerned, is early detection. You can save yourself a lot of time and money detecting moisture through the use of Infrared Thermagraphy(IR).
There are many advantages to using infrared thermagraphy. A couple of advantages are that it’s non-destructive and the ability to see more than the eye can see. The alternative is to have workers opening up sections of walls or ceilings trying to locate the source of the smell or the dampness. IR Imaging can be performed over large surface areas uickly and easily. Moisture problems in walls and ceilings can be readily seen with IR, even when no stains are visible.
Until now moisture surveys were very time consuming, but with today’s infrared technology they can be completed quickly without the trial and error mess of opening up the surface to locate the source of the leak. After performing a brief survey, our Infrared thermographers can often make an
immediate assessment.
